$moky was born in Paris, France in the year 1986. He discovered music
very early, and at six years old he started learning the basics of
piano from his guitarist father. Over the next six years he expanded
his knowledge by learning with professors and enrolling in jazz school,
however the songs he played were too technical and he became tired of
the style. When he was 13 his professor chose to teach him
improvisation and success was immediatly there, $moky went on to
perform his first concert playing an improvisation the same year! After
two years $moky believed that his technique was sufficient, and started
playing in a blues band. He played in Paris's show rooms for two years
until his creative spirit took over, and he decided he wanted to play
his own music.
At age 6, G.R.I.P. had a fascination with the turntable that his parents owned but was always quick to get a slap on the hand every time he tried to scratch a record like “RUN DMC did on the TV.” Eleven years later at age 17, G.R.I.P. was shopping at the local Goodwill. He bought two “heavily” used turntables and a beat up Radio Shack mixer but this time his hands were not getting slapped! In 1998, under the alias “ATAX”, he started playing rave and house parties with his friends and classmates. Within a few years he had already played some of the hottest clubs in Minneapolis, was booked out-of-state and had opened for a handful of domestic and internationally recognized DJ's/Producers.
DJ Kyoshi was born into a creative family in Amsterdam on the 26th of September 1975. He was inspired by music at a very young age, the main reason to buy an Amiga and start making his own music, some later a PC with some easier to use trackers. Nowadays he uses more up to date software like reason ableton.
Born in the suburbs of Rotterdam, Taras van de Voorde walked alot of musical roads. From singing in old folks homes to classic organ lessons and playing trumpet but deep inside Taras knew that this wasn’t his love.. Around 1994 he went to his first rave and guess what? The hardcore housemusic and the English breakbeat tunes made the little freak go crazy, all this energy, all those weird sounds, all those nice, happy and dancing people.. Yeah! He wanted to be part of this electronic revolution! Within two weeks he bought his first records, a pair of shitty turntables and a mixer.. Taras was born again but now with an aim, loving the electronic music and to entertain people!
Born in 1971 in Schiedam, a relaxed Rotterdam suburb, Tim was stuck listening
to the radio in his very early youth. It was about the mid 70's when listening
to the first electric and disco tracks like Kraftwerk and Boney
M, the beats and basslines became his new found attraction. When he was
9 he bought vinyls of the tracks he heard on the radio with his weekly allowance, and played them in front of kids from on
block. By the time he went to high school in 1982 hip hop music showed up,
and it was no wonder that he choose this genre mainly for its beats,
basslines and samples. He was so inspired by tracks like James Brown's "Funky Drummer",
Grandmaster Flash's "White Lines" and the remixes of "Stars of 45", that he
bought himself a Korg drumcomputer and started making background beats.
